Anime North Weekend and whats to come
ok :3 soooo i know i haven’t been adding alot lately(also just haven’t had the time or patients to do so <:3) and just been busy making my costume(yes its all out Fluttershy this year, so anyone sees me i’ll give ya a ‘yay’ and a high five the best i can :3) now i know its not a fur meet or anything of the sort, but its one thing i have been going to for the last 7 years(this being my 7th) so i will not miss out :3.
Now i know your all wondering: whats Nekotigerfire’s plans after this convention? is she ready to move on? is she up to seriously doing commissions? and 3rd is she going to stop doing trades and requests? also if anyone is wondering is she STILL doing the my little kitties?
ok…. so heres the thing i AM going back to college(yup…) and it will be harder stuff then Vet Tech i’m betting… for i’m going as a Practical Nurse(just lower then a Registered Nurse and lower slightly to a Vet Tech). So i’ll be saving alot of money at my job(which i work at night for 3-4 days of the week) and ya.
Now i’m not ever going to move on from drawings…. i might TRY to improve my colouring by getting prisma colours that i see and try doing markers as well…. see what happens on that part too <:3 but i will forever do tradition… also might see about getting a tablet or a new ‘SMALL’ laptop… and if so i’ll see about a small laptop/tablet…. see what happens :3…. I’ll also be moving at the end of August so not doing anything then…
now… the commissions thing…. ok, now heres the good and the bad news, the good news if i do start i might only be doing 5 commissions a month, and still doing trades and requests but trades must be met. and secondly i’ll only be doing 5 of each. Also… there is bad news… i do not know if its safe for me to accept money cause that i am on a budget for what i earn and this be kind of under the table money. and sadly i have NO CLUE as to pay… use paypal?(which i do have) and someone tell me how that works? also do people send the picture to the people that bought it? that i’m clueless too as well… especially if its a drawing, cause the original is probably the best out of just posting the picture…. so i don’t know how it will work(also it be nice to get paid for all the paper i use ^^’ and another sketch book be nice :3)
Sadly there will be rules where i post CERTAIN pictures. if cute and cuddly i will post all pictures on my DeviantArt, FurAffinity and Tumblr accounts(tho i forget alot with the last one) but if of any pictures showing suggestive themes, or all out crazy bananas and cream, i will ONLY post on FurAffinity and blocked scenes on Tumblr. (i’ll show blocked scenes also on FurAffinity for the faint of heart :P)
and yes i’m still doing the My Little Kitties version i do have two pictures of Queen Chesylia…. you know who i mean, with one of her with Discord kitty. i just haven’t had the time to colour it or feel the urge to colour :3… heh…

now i know it seems bad but i will colour sooner or later, i felt bad that these were in my scetch book but don’t have the actual picture there. so hopefully people like them even NOT coloured :3 all characters belong to hasbro and MLP also the art is MINE so no stealing!!!

What I love about Studio Ghibli films is that, in most of them, the love shared between two characters isn’t showy, passionate, or exaggerated. Most of the love interests don’t even kiss, let alone voice their love for each other. It’s beautiful to me, how simple and innocent young love is portrayed in Ghibli films.
Subtlety? What’s that? How am I supposed to know that characters love each other if a film doesn’t clearly spell it out for me? :D

its really true tho now that i think about all of or most of miyazaki films that non of the characters that you can tell that love each other never kissed(except in the recent one) and most of the time it is innocent or just a caring hug or laugh in most of the movies that show something. lets see if i can remember most of them(CAUSE HECK I”M A GHIBLI FANATIC!!!) and don’t go after my spelling either please? AND SPOILER ALERT IF I SAY ANYTHING!!!
Nausica Valley of the Wind: Nausica showed that she loved her valley but even tho there was this boy; Asbel, who was related to the other princess that showed in the movie early on that died in the air craft. He shows incredible interest but never voices his oppionion other then that nausica reminded him of his sister. but is really greatful for how she is trying to be a protector to the world even if its against most odds.
Princess Mononoke: with the main male character; Ashitaka, he is mostly trying to find a way to make nature and human life get along, and although he DOES voice that the wolf girl, San(?) is beautiful and that he couldn’t let the village people kill her for her protecting her home and family. But she also can’t be with him but shows compassion herself when she looked after him and kept the stone knife that Ashitaka gave her.
Castle In the Sky: it showned very well even though it is never voiced that these two love each other. for i haven’t seen this move for a long time i can’t voice my oppionion, but Sheeta who just wanted to have piece and someone to enjoy her time with and Pazu that just wanted to prove that his father wasn’t crazy, work together to help each other achieve a goal that makes them enjoy each others company even more!
Spirit Away: Although… its true they never said ‘i love you’ or ‘kissed’ but with the understanding coming from them both from time that longed past Chihiro’s memory with Haku who can’t help but protect her the best he can, these two can’t help but be together… although Haku is more of a gaurdian for her, but their simple bound of god to human can never be left from our heart
Kiki’s Delivery Service: Now even tho its never said or anything, she must admit at one point that she has fallen in love and must admit that life will be difficult. however the boy wasn’t making it easier for things he says or stuff he did. but enjoy together the fact of flying together for knowing that it was one of the two things that they most loved together
Porco Rosso: i was trying to avoid this one, but there is some love connection for the idea that even though it is also never said there WAS a kiss near the end of this movie between Rosso and the young girl. but that is all i can say for its been years again which i have seen this movie
Ponyo: OK now technically this breaks all the rules of the old movies. Ponyo did kiss sosuke, and i will admitably say i think she also said she loved him. but it was this power of connection through ‘blood’ that made it in such a way a bound between the two. they didn’t have to add the kiss but because it was based on the little mermaid, it made sense to ‘break the spell’ to turn her human(as Ariel it was to make her speak again)
Howl’s Moving Castle: now this one showed alot. i believe the word love did pop up in this movie quiet a few times. anyway the reason i love this move is the Howl didn’t care that Sophie looked old, and Sophia had to make howl get down to earth to realize that he belonged to people that loved him too as a family. so sure its shows that these two love each other but it also shows there was a family waiting for him too.
Tales of Earthsea: NOW heres something that was completely different from the ‘i love you’ or something more of a bound of names. i don’t remember much, but i know that the two had a bound that was met after giving their true names to each other, showing that their love was now beyond any.
My Neighbor Totoro: ok there really wasn’t much in this movie, but the neighbor boy couldn’t help but see he had a crush on the city girl. but nothing was said more and that was how it was left to be a simple crush to blossom later on.
The Cat Returns: Haru wasn’t expecting that from a high school crush to a cat that she didn’t want to be with, to the Boro were at all going to change her feelings and how she saw life when this story ended. but you never really know what the boro thinks of haru other then that he’ll wait for her when she would need help again.
now i could go on with whisper of the heart but that IS a love story.
I think i did ok, but this is my oppionion don’t shoot me down <:3 but i agree that the simplist of the love is always the sweetest of stories :P
the first picture is an updated version of my other picture that i did about two years ago. my sister had this old picture as her avatar, and i couldn’t help but change the picture and IMPROVE it. so because its suppose to represent my sister i added some glasses too :P anyway hope you guys like the improvements!
